Africa Go Green Fund commits up to US$18 million for a Kigali cold-storage facility
The Africa Go Green Fund, a KfW initiative managed by Cygnum Capital, is providing up to US$18 million in senior debt to Cold Solutions Rwanda. The financing covers construction and working capital for a facility in the Kigali Prime Economic Zone with initial capacity of 4,000 pallets, expandable to 8,000. It will include storage for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
Why it matters
Cold-chain capacity reduces post-harvest losses and helps Rwandan growers and processors reach export markets.
