EIB Global and FCMB sign €85 million facility for Nigerian agribusiness
EIB Global and First City Monument Bank signed €85 million of financing for private agricultural companies in Nigeria, with at least 70% aimed at cocoa and dairy value chains. The cocoa funding supports processing, liquidity for cooperatives and traceability for EU deforestation rules. It is EIB Global's first investment covering dairy outside the EU.
Why it matters
Credit tied to traceability and EU market rules shows how export finance is being linked to compliance for African agricultural producers.
