DRC and Côte d'Ivoire leave the FATF grey list
The Financial Action Task Force removed the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Côte d'Ivoire from its grey list at the close of its plenary on 30 October, after both completed their action plans. Bulgaria and Monaco were also removed. The EU's own high-risk list still names the DRC until the European Commission updates it.
Why it matters
Leaving the grey list tends to lower the cost and friction of cross-border payments and correspondent banking, though the benefit arrives over months rather than days.
