Banque du Caire starts trading on the EGX after Egypt's largest IPO
Banque du Caire's shares began trading on the Egyptian Exchange's main market on 2 November after an IPO that raised a record EGP 36.37 billion. The bank sold 6,862,500,000 shares, 45% of its 15.25 billion shares, giving a market value of about EGP 80.82 billion. The EGX said the offer was oversubscribed 27 times and drew more than $500 million from abroad.
Why it matters
