Namibia's and Botswana's Olympic committees sign a sport cooperation agreement
The Namibia National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association and the Botswana National Olympic Committee signed a memorandum of understanding in Dakar on 2 November 2026, during the Youth Olympic Games. It covers athlete development, coaching education, training camps and capacity building, with a focus on sprinting, relays and lawn bowls. Namibia signed a similar agreement with the Indian Olympic Association the same day.
Why it matters
Shared training and coaching gives both countries' athletes more support ahead of Los Angeles 2028.
