Shell signs a long-term offtake for sustainable aviation fuel from a planned plant at Nador

Shell Trading Rotterdam has signed a long-term offtake agreement with Green Sky Manara for a planned facility at Port Nador, Morocco, taking approximately 150,000 tonnes a year of sustainable aviation fuel, or an equivalent volume of HVO, plus bionaphtha and biopropane. The plant is scheduled to start up in October 2028.

Why it matters

A committed buyer of Shell's size makes the Nador plant far easier to finance and puts Morocco on the map for aviation fuels.
