AFD, the IOC and the World Bank publish a report on sport as a driver of development in Africa
Agence Française de Développement, the International Olympic Committee and the World Bank Group have published Unlocking the Potential of Sports in Africa, to mark the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. It examines how sport contributes to employment, entrepreneurship, health and education.
Why it matters
The report gives the sports economy evidence that sponsors, investors and governments can use when deciding where to put money.
